Dance and the Prophetic is the final book in my series on Christian Dance. It is a study of the prophetic and how it applies to dance. There are many books on the prophetic, with some books that touch on prophetic dance. My heart is not to regurgitate that information. Instead, it is to lay the foundation of prophecy  and prophetic dance/movement and then share from my experience what it is and how it impacts not only your life or the lives of others, but how it can impact your nation in the spirit, too.

The  cover image of this book was taken in September 2024 for a 2025 prophetic bridal calendar. I was asked to do a photo shoot at a lighthouse. The dress I wore is my wedding dress, made by my mother for my wedding day in 1996. Our wedding was a prophetic portrayal of the marriage feast of Christ and His Bride, and so it was fitting that I wear this dress. When I sent my mom some photos of the photo shoot, she was delighted that I could wear my dress again, 28 ½ yearslater.

A lighthouse is a symbol of hope and safety. It points to the trust needed to steer a ship safely past danger; if a sailor ignores the lighthouse's warning, he risks running his vessel aground or being shipwrecked. This translates into the importance of trusting in God’s truth and the warnings He gives us in His Word and by His Spirit.

The prophetic representation of the lighthouse is that we are called to be lighthouses as bearers of Christ’s light, called to be a beacon of hope in the world. (Isaiah 42:6-9)

This is the essence of the prophetic – God telling us something before it occurs.

May we continuously shine the Light of Christ in a world so desperate for hope.  May we boldly illuminate the truth and point others to it. May we, the Bride of Christ, move with strength and conviction and make a difference wherever the Lord guides us, pushing back the darkness and advancing the Kingdom of Light!

My prayer for each person who works through these chapters is that they will increase in their sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and in their boldness to speak, declare, move, and prophesy as the Spirit leads!
